The California common is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at ale fermentation temperatures. Ours features prominent fresh bread and caramel aroma and flavour. This malt-forward beer is balanced with classic American hops that give a refreshing minty bitterness for an easy drinking malty lager. Often referred to as “steam beer” and made famous by San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing Company.
